ERIE, PA — The Erie Downtown Partnership invites the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, to celebrate the new ownership of The Brewerie at Union Station, located at 123 West 14th Street, Erie, PA. Local businesswoman Jessica Warren has officially taken the reins of the beloved downtown brewery and restaurant, marking an exciting new chapter for the historic venue.
Warren, a lifelong Erie resident, brings 30 years of leadership experience to her new role as a business owner. After years of dreaming about starting a brewery with her family, she found a perfect opportunity to carry forward The Brewerie’s legacy. “I decided to buy this business knowing that the previous owner ran it with integrity and honesty, which are important to me,” Warren said. “I couldn't have asked for a better starting point as a new business owner.” Beyond brewing, Warren is energized by the opportunity to be part of the historic and "captivating" Union Station.
The Brewerie at Union Station first opened its doors in 2006, establishing itself as Erie's first downtown brewpub and helping lay the groundwork for the city's vibrant craft beer community. Warren plans to honor that history while introducing exciting offerings, including a revamped craft beer lineup, new 4-packs to-go, Happy Hour specials, and expanded mocktail options.
Through Warren, The Brewerie becomes one of 42 women-owned businesses in the Downtown Erie district and joins the small but growing number of women who own breweries nationwide. “Only about 3% of breweries in the USA are 100% female owned and I will proudly be one of them,” shared Warren.
