Connect & Create
Erie businesses have a legacy of invention and manufacturing. We still create, from lathes to laser cutters, acetylene torches to additive fabrication, our city provides what people need to make something new. The Idea Lab at Blasco County Library hosts classes and tools for green screen production, sewing, soldering, and CAD.
The CAM studio rents out multimedia equipment from studios to mobile broadcast vans. For people who make with their hands, BASTION provides wood-working, metal working, and music studio recording. Erie Clay Space provide classes on pottery and all the tools members need to bake and glaze. Of course, the downtown is only blocks from Erie's main manufacturing corridor, where trade professionals mill, cut, galvanize, and otherwise craft the parts that build the world's industry.
